ABOUT

DESIGNED & DEVELOPED BY D4 META MEDIA

June 16 - June 29 2009

This auspiscious journey is for those interested in exploring the mysteries, places, and untold dance of Tibetan Buddhism's Dakinis.

We will be en route through the highest roads in the world as we ascend the Himalaya into the realm of the Dakinis. This is a rare opportunity that will bring us into the heart of the Tibetan community and their daily lives. Additionally, we will be deepening our exploration of the Sacred Feminine, related dance, and practices to cultivate greater health and awakening. The workshop will be taught in the surrounding village as well as the sacred historical sites we visit.

The intention of this journey is to provide a direct experience with the lineage of the Dakinis, through both the monastic as well as cultural context while we naturally act as respectful ambassadors from the West.

      OUR LOCAL Guide

Our local guide, Lhawang, has been a tour guide to Ladakh for 20 years, and now leads treks all around the planet. He grew up in the town of Leh, Ladakh’s central hub. He will be our gateway to many areas that are out of reach to most other tourists that come to the area. A personal friend of Tenley’s, it is a real honor to have him as our guide.
